2015-10-07 Our nation is in a daze

Our country is in a hazy daze situation. The more than one month smog currently present in our country has affected all Malaysians, physically and financially. The haze interrupts our outdoor activities and affects businesses. This unwelcome visitor from Indonesia has been coming to our shore every year and staying for a month or two for the past 10 years. We are today still talking about how to prevent this never ending problem which has gone above hazardous levels for healthy living.

Our neighboring countries have also not been spared with this predicament.

It does not matter to me who is and will be the Prime Minister of our country. I’ll support him/her so long he/she behaves, speaks and acts Malaysian. He must uphold and protect the Foundation that our Founding Fathers worked hard on when Malaysia gained independence in 1957.

I am an Anak Malaysia.

I will fight for Malaysia.

Malaysia is where I was born.

Malaysia is where I will die.

Here is where I grew up.

Here is where I stay.

Have you ever experienced singing with musicians in the street? The Flea Market at Amcorp Mall, PJ has a place just right for you and was once dubbed the biggest indoor flea market in Klang Valley area. First started in 1998, the flea market is still going strong today.

I visited a friend of mine, Audie Chan who was one of the 3 judges for our recent RLC Karaoke Competition for Heart 1 and Heat 2. He has a stall selling guitars, ukuleles and other musical paraphilia, both new and old at Ampcorp Flea Market.

The music enthusiasts would normally come with their assorted musical instruments and start a jam session. Anyone from the crowd can also participate in it.

A few of us just did that today. It was fun and certainly this flea market is an ideal place to spend our time on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon.
