2015-06-18 Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2
Lintang Bob Yong

I was at KLIA2 today; not for flying but sending someone flying.
KLIA2 which was scheduled to be opened in June 28, 2013 was eventually opened on May 2, 2014. The postponement of the official opening of almost a year was said to be due to construction delay.

We started the journey from home by car at about 3.30 pm; travelled via LDP Highway and reached the airport at 4.30 pm. It took us close to an hour to complete the journey.

I took a brief tour at the complex on my way out and could not help seeing more eateries than other businesses. I think, like all international airports over the world, KLIA2 is architecturally beautiful and modern.

Leaving KLIA2 at 5.00 pm and with the help of GPS, we took a different route via Kajang/Serdang roads and reached home at 5.30 pm. Vow, it’s only half an hour drive!
Traffic was considered good to and flow on both ways and we were happy about the short travelling time.
KLIA2 is accessible from various points of the city via 6 highways by car:
  • ELITE Highway
  • LDP Highway
  • KESAS Highway
  • MAJU Expressway
  • North South Expressway Central Link
  • New Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE)
Take a tour by all means.
